One of my pettest peeves is poor spelling. At this juncture it is almost inexcusable, especially in an electronic setting. I think all of my devices have spell check. Occasionally I even use it. (Mostly I don't need to, I have been a good speller all of my edumacated life...and if it doesn't seem right I look it up myself) I do not get how people who value words, writing, and communication can allow their spelling to go unchecked, especially in a public forum like a blog or message board. It detracts from the message, for me and I'm certain I'm not the only one, and draws into question the writer's conscientiousness, if not intelligence.
But that's just my opinion...
(Misspellings above are purposeful and personally amusing use of the language. So there.)
